New York, NY; August 22, 2014 – Windows of Opportunity, Inc., a 501 (c) 3 non-profit youth leadership and empowerment agency, is excited to announce Patricia Budhan of Far Rockaway and Frannelys Frias of The Bronx, as its new Program Directors of the impactful and popular city-wide self-esteem program, Shortstack™ Modeling.

fran and tricia 1Ms. Budhan and Ms. Frias, who have both been models in the past with Shortstack™, will take charge of its leadership development and the daily program coordination, which includes 25 models participating in multiple activities over the course of the next 10 months. Shortstack™ is a teen driven fashion and modeling program whose goal is to allow young girls who do not fit the “normal” model standards to be a part of charitable fashion events, educational and empowering workshops, and community service.

“The leadership expertise of Ms. Budhan and Ms. Frias further strengthens our ability to meet the vision of our organization,” noted Hal Eisenberg, Executive Director of Windows of Opportunity, Inc. (WOO) “Patricia and Fran bring a comprehensive understanding of leadership, passion, and genuine heart and soul that will greatly benefit WOO, the models participating in the program, and our community sponsors and supporters.”

9 years ago, at the young age of 15, inspired by a vision and a dream, Olivia Mignone created the charitable Shortstack™ Modeling Agency to prove that anyone could achieve their goals without limitations. The modeling industry may say they do not fit the standards, but Olivia and her team have spent 8 months of every year training and empowering girls to think otherwise, culminating in a professional and chic NYC Charity Fashion Show. “Though I am not directly involved in the day to day activities of Shortstack™ any longer, I am so proud and excited for the vision that Patricia and Fran have for the program’s future. This is a good leadership choice,” exerts Mignone.

Auditions for this year’s Shortstack™ Program will take place at 11 am on September 27th, October 11th, and October 18th at Junior High School 190 in Forest Hills. Email info@wooshortstack.org for more details.

The 9th Annual Shortstack Charity Fashion Show will be held on Friday, June 26th, 2015 at Studio 450 in New York City, which overlooks both the Empire State Building and The Freedom Tower.
